The On Deck Baseball Program has enjoyed quick, yet impressive, success during its young history.  The program, just four years old, has helped create some wonderful opportunities for many student-athletes.  The first team to complete three years at the Academy graduated from high school in May of 2003.  At the conclusion of the 2002 season twelve out of thirteen players from that team were granted college baseball scholarships, three to UNC-Chapel Hill, while the thirteenth player, Ryan Marion, signed to play professionally with the Milwaukee Brewers.

In 2003, the On Deck O’s achieved an unprecedented 3rd place finish in the biggest 18 and under tournament in the world.  The Perfect Game/Baseball America World Wood Bat Championship is an eighty team, invite only showcase tournament held in Jupiter, Florida.  The '03 team had nine players sign during the early signing period, while all twelve players were offered college scholarships.  Once again, every player on the '04 and '05 O’s rosters were offered collegiate scholarships.  Fifteen of these players are attending Division I schools.

The '06 On Deck O’s finished the year just short of 40 wins on the year and a 9th place finish in the Perfect Game/Baseball America World Wood Bat Championship.  This marks the second time that an O’s team has achieved a top-10 finish in the World Championships.  Sixteen players from the '06 O’s signed baseball scholarships with highly competitive college baseball programs.  Since 2003, a total of 84 players have gone on from the On Deck program to play at the next level.  The On Deck coaching staff is looking forward to continued success with the  '08 O’s and beyond.
